 A Boy in the Woods is back up and running with plans to release a new album in early 2009. New tracks are being released on myspace all the time, always available for download, but rarely up for very long. Keep checking the sites for performance dates and new info!

 Hello, everypeoples. If you have not already heard, A Boy in the Woods is now a part of the band IMAGINARY JACK. Joseph D.H. (AKA: A Boy in the Woods) isn't sure what he will be doing with his old solo title. A new A Boy in the Woods record may be released, may not. We will see what happens with the band, etc.

 Just to keep you updated, I'm still working hard on the next album. To add a little complexity to my music, I've started to work with both Dana Harper and also an old high-school friend, Ian Ahola, with whom I began my first ever band The Kerosene Grapefruit Experience oh so many years ago. Due to an overwhelming amount of unreleased material, "A Window in the Wall" promises to give a more than generous amount of new tracks and ideas. At this point, it looks like I won't be able to cut the album down to any less than twenty tracks, and we haven't even finished recording... So, be ready for at least a good sixty minutes or more.  LIVE and NON-ALBUM tracks are now available in the recordings area!

A Boy in the Woods has chosen a title for the second album. "A Window in the Wall" is planned for release in the Spring of 2007. No guarantees on the release date, as the funding for the album is supported entirely by the debut album sales. Listeners and appreciators who buy albums directly contribute to the music, as their money is put into an account used strictly for recording another album. As soon as the money is there, the next album will be released. A special thanks to all of those who have already shown their support of A Boy in the Woods. The next album "A Window in the Wall" will feature second instruments and influences from Dana Harper, a very talented local musician and aspiring filmmaker.

Just checking in. Not much going on. Building a new studio in my basement. Listening to a lot of Neutral Milk and New Orleans Jazz. Currently listening to Willy Mason, whom I was told my music is similar... I don't see much connection. Just got back from St. Louis, Missouri... A $300.00 12-hour drive one-way for a $25.00 dress for a girl I like a lot. Bought some wierd artwork on the way back, in an antique store set up in what is no longer a 1960's school in the middle of nowhere, Illinois.

A Boy in the Woods' debut album "The Death of a Child" HAS BEEN RELEASED! It is available the online store for $9.99.
Accepts all major credit cards, cash, check and money orders.

Also, two new songs have been uploaded to the A Boy in the Woods myspace. The tracks, "Tiny Town Takes a Piss" and "Big Surprise", are unreleased and only available online.
